There is a moment before you step into the cage that is calming, almost a relief that the time has finally come to see exactly what I can do. It was the same before stepping on the Mat in high school wrestling, seconds ticking down until you shake your opponent’s hand and give it that extra squeeze. The kind of grip that lets them know that they are going to experience raw kinetic energy. I feel like a monster waiting to unleash the beast inside, the fury of one thousand takedowns and countless punches and kicks. It’s the same feeling that comes with Monster Energy.

As an athlete you need to have energy, not just energy during training, but long-lasting energy throughout the day and especially during recovery time. No matter the sport, no matter the obstacle it’s important to hydrate and keep in fighting trim. It takes a monster to tackle life, it takes a monster to step into the cage and fight for your life.

So, find your flavor, the proper balance between the calm before the storm and raw power of your craft on display. From one champion to another, drink the drink of champions, a cold refreshing Monster. Think about the moments after the flavors rush into the time before you step into your cage, your fight, your life.
